Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she took a firm stance after unauthorized crew members were present on set during a nude scene, emphasizing the need to protect younger actors in the industry.
Incident on Set
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 36-year-old Oscar winner said crew members who were not approved for the closed set appeared while she was filming nudity. She said she "came down hard" on the breach because failing to set a principle could leave an 18-year-old newcomer vulnerable to similar pressure.
Protecting Younger Actors
Lawrence explained that an unknown young actor might feel forced to choose between speaking up and risking a reputation for being difficult, or allowing unapproved people to watch. She said it was important to explain why the situation was unacceptable.
Die My Love and Pregnancy
The actor recently filmed the psychological drama Die My Love, directed by Lynne Ramsay. Lawrence said she wanted to give Ramsay total artistic freedom, including regarding nudity, and noted that being pregnant with her second child during filming reduced her vanity anxiety. She recalled rejecting a request to touch up cellulite in a close-up shot.
Beauty Goals and Cosmetic Procedures
In a cover interview with The Cut, Lawrence said her beauty goal is to be a "sexy mom" who appears put together at school drop-off. She has previously discussed cosmetic procedures after motherhood, including a breast lift and consideration of a future facelift, as well as using subtle Botox.
