Former President Donald Trump altered his traditional Halloween routine during a White House event, avoiding a repeat of a widely noted moment from previous years when he placed candy on children's heads.
The event took place following Trump's final rally before the midterm elections. In past years, his distribution of candy to trick-or-treaters had drawn attention, particularly an incident involving Minions-themed costumes that became a viral moment.
This year's celebration proceeded without a similar occurrence, as Trump adjusted his approach to the annual holiday gathering.
