Mass celebrations have broken out across Serbia following parliamentary election results that saw a student-led opposition movement defeat long-serving President Aleksandar Vucic.
A Significant Political Shift
The election outcome marks a major political turning point for the nation, ending over a decade of rule by Aleksandar Vucic. The victory comes after years of sustained protests against his administration and government policies.
Opposition Victory and Concession
The shift in power was confirmed after Vucic conceded defeat to the opposition coalition, which has been largely driven by student activism and widespread public discontent.
