Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes will remain the team's captain following talks between the pair. The decision ends speculation about the Portuguese midfielder's leadership role at Old Trafford.
Carrick revealed he held discussions with Fernandes before announcing the 29-year-old would continue to wear the armband. Fernandes has captained United since Harry Maguire was stripped of the role in 2023.
