Stipe Miocic Predicts Gane vs Hokit at UFC 334

By Sohaib Shams

Former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has predicted that Ciryl Gane will defeat Josh Hokit when they meet for the undisputed title at UFC 334 on November 14 at Madison Square Garden.

Miocic Favors Gane Over Hokit

Miocic, who held the belt from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2019 to 2021, said in a recent interview that Gane's experience and fight IQ give him the edge. "He's seasoned, he's been there, and he's very smart at what he does," Miocic said. He acknowledged Hokit's wrestling and power but noted Gane's distance management and defensive wrestling.

Aspinall Rematch Remains Unpredictable

Miocic also weighed in on a potential rematch between Gane and Tom Aspinall, who vacated the title in September due to lingering eye injuries from their previous no-contest. Miocic called the matchup even, saying Gane's shot selection could prevail but Aspinall's constant pressure might be the key.

Hokit's Rapid Ascent and Controversy

Hokit, who stopped Derrick Lewis at the White House in June, has drawn attention for his controversial statements. Miocic said the American is tough and improving but not yet ready to beat Aspinall, though he could challenge him in the future.
