Rapper Nicki Minaj has shared a video from aboard Air Force One, the official aircraft of the US President, during Donald Trump's midterm campaign trip to Port Huron, Michigan. The footage comes as speculation grows regarding potential new appointments within the White House communications team.
Potential White House Press Secretary Role
White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung fueled rumors about the singer's future role by sharing a video of her on the aircraft. In a post on X, Cheung teased that Minaj could be the president's next press secretary, stating, “I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!”
The suggestion follows the recent announcement that Katie Zacharia is leaving the position, a departure that occurred only days after she had assumed the role. Minaj, who began her public support for Trump in 2025, was welcomed to the White House in July 2026.
