Mirumi Robotic Bag Charm: Furby-Tamagotchi Hybrid Hits UK

By Karim Hammam

Japanese robotics firm Yukai Engineering has launched the Mirumi, a robotic bag charm that blends features of the viral Labubu plush, Furby and Tamagotchi into a single interactive accessory.

What is the Mirumi bag charm?

The device clings to a bag strap like a sloth on a branch and operates for up to eight hours on a single charge. A touch sensor on the back of its head lets it "feel" stroking and respond like a pet, while built-in sound sensors allow it to react to noises. It comes in three colourways: grey, pink and ivory.

Pricing and availability

The Mirumi retails at £149 in the United Kingdom. Pre-orders are currently available through Harrods and the official Mirumi online store.

Labubu craze context

Labubu charms, created by Chinese toy maker Pop Mart, sold an estimated 100 million units worldwide in 2025 and were seen on celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and David Beckham. With Labubu sales now declining in the US, the Mirumi is positioned as a technologically advanced successor.
