Camden High Street in London is set to become permanently pedestrianised, following a similar move for Oxford Street. The plan aims to transform the busy thoroughfare into a car-free zone, prioritising pedestrians and cyclists.
The decision mirrors the pedestrianisation of Oxford Street, one of Europe's busiest shopping streets, which has been gradually restricted to traffic in recent years. Camden High Street, known for its markets and vibrant atmosphere, will see vehicle access removed permanently under the new scheme.
