An assailant was shot and killed after attacking a police officer outside the Israeli Embassy in Serbia, authorities said. The incident occurred at the diplomatic mission in Belgrade, where the attacker targeted an officer on duty.
Serbian police confirmed the assailant died at the scene following the confrontation. The officer sustained injuries and received medical treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation into the motive and circumstances of the attack.
The Israeli Embassy in Belgrade has not issued a detailed statement. Serbian officials said security measures around diplomatic missions have been reinforced as a precaution.
