British cabinet ministers were photographed leaving 10 Downing Street on Tuesday morning after a meeting convened ahead of the chancellor's budget statement.
Ministers pictured
Images showed Defence Secretary Wes Streeting, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood, Health Secretary Yvette Cooper, Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden, Labour Chair and Women and Equalities Minister Bridget Phillipson, Leader of the Lords Angela Smith, and Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband departing Number 10. None appeared downcast, according to observers.
Budget expectations
The budget, to be delivered later today, is expected to scrap gas standing charges for millions of households, the Treasury has indicated.
