England manager Thomas Tuchel will announce his squad on Friday for the final Nations League matches of the year, with the team facing Croatia at home and Spain away. The Three Lions are near qualification for the knockout stage after a 7-0 win over Croatia in their last outing.
Josh King
Fulham midfielder Josh King, 19, has been close to a senior debut after travelling with the preparation squad before the World Cup. Tuchel said King is close to a call-up and has impressed for the under-21s, though competition for the number 10 role is fierce with Jude Bellingham established as first choice.
Will Lankshear
Middlesbrough striker Will Lankshear, 21, has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season, including 13 in 13 Championship games. With Harry Kane the undisputed starter and Dominic Calvert-Lewin struggling for minutes under Tuchel, Lankshear could be considered as a backup option despite limited under-21 experience.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Everton playmaker Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, 28, has turned down Republic of Ireland call-ups to pursue an England chance. He has two goals and two assists this season, but teammate James Garner received a call-up ahead of him in the last window, suggesting Dewsbury-Hall still has work to do to catch Tuchel's eye.
Morgan Gibbs-White
Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White, 26, was a late addition to the previous squad after several withdrawals. Tuchel praised his dedication, but with Forest struggling and strong competition from Bellingham, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Eberechi Eze, Gibbs-White may miss out again.
Ben White
Arsenal defender Ben White, 29, returned to international duty in March but missed the World Cup and the first squad of this campaign due to injury. Tuchel has highlighted White's partnership with Bukayo Saka as a potential asset, and his consistent availability for Arsenal this season could earn him a recall at right-back, especially with Reece James injured.
Jordan Henderson
Veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson, 36, has not featured for England since breaking his arm at the World Cup. After moving to Chelsea, he has become a regular starter, scoring twice in a win over Bournemouth. His experience and current form could tempt Tuchel into a surprise recall.
