Former EU Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has stated that the United Kingdom could rejoin the European Union without being required to adopt the euro, but only if it meets a single condition.
One red line for rejoining
Barnier emphasized that while euro adoption would not be mandatory for a returning UK, there remains one non-negotiable requirement for any future membership bid. He did not specify the exact condition in his remarks.
