Kimi Antonelli will honor Ayrton Senna at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix this weekend after becoming Formula One's youngest world champion.
Title secured in Mexico
The 20-year-old Italian clinched the championship with a third-place finish in Mexico City last weekend, wrapping up the title with four rounds remaining.
Senna tribute plans
Antonelli, who idolized Senna as a child, visited the Brazilian legend's grave during last year's Sao Paulo Grand Prix and will run a special helmet dedicated to the three-time champion this weekend. He said he will have a "special happening" for Brazil and Senna, marking 35 years since Senna's first home victory. Antonelli will also keep the number 12 on his car, famously associated with Senna, instead of switching to number one.
Constructors' championship battle
Mercedes aims to secure the constructors' championship this weekend, needing to outscore Ferrari by at least three points to clinch the title.
