Victor Wembanyama poured in a career-high 52 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.
The 20-year-old French center shot 18-of-29 from the field, including 8-of-16 from three-point range, while adding six rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes.
Wembanyama's scoring outburst marked the highest single-game total by a Spurs player since LaMarcus Aldridge scored 56 points in 2018.
The Mavericks, playing without Luka Doncic due to a calf strain, got 36 points from Kyrie Irving but fell short in the final seconds.
San Antonio improved to 10-13 on the season, while Dallas dropped to 14-9.
