Formula One world champion Kimi Antonelli will honor Ayrton Senna at this weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix. The 20-year-old became the sport's youngest champion last weekend in Mexico City, securing the title with four rounds remaining.
Tribute to childhood hero
Antonelli traveled to Sao Paulo and posted a photo with Senna's family inside the Brazilian's famed 1986 Lotus. He has long admired Senna, visiting the three-time champion's grave during last year's Brazilian Grand Prix.
Special helmet and number 12
The Italian will wear a helmet dedicated to Senna, marking 35 years since Senna's first victory in Brazil. Antonelli also confirmed he will keep race number 12, famously associated with Senna, rather than switch to number one as champion.
Constructors' title battle
Antonelli and teammate George Russell aim to clinch the constructors' championship for Mercedes this weekend. The Silver Arrows need to outscore Ferrari by three points or more to secure the title.
