Harry Kane has signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich that will keep the England captain at the German club until 2029. The deal was announced on Thursday, nine days after Kane won the Ballon d'Or, edging out Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé for the award.
Kane commits to Bayern project
"I feel right at home at FC Bayern," Kane said. "I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club. My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I'm now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club."
Ballon d'Or triumph precedes new deal
Kane's extension follows a sensational goalscoring year that earned him football's most prestigious individual prize. The 31-year-old striker has been instrumental for Bayern since joining from Tottenham Hotspur, and the new contract secures his services through the 2028-29 season.
