A 36-foot effigy of FIFA president Gianni Infantino has been erected for the annual Edenbridge bonfire night celebration in the United Kingdom. The figure depicts bank notes emerging from his ears and shows him holding a golden Donald Trump "Piece of Shirt prize" trophy.
The Edenbridge Bonfire Society selected Infantino following a summer of controversy, during which he faced accusations of attempting to sell off World Cup commercial operations to private investors. Society chairman Bill Cummings said Infantino's notoriety extends beyond football, noting that even those who do not follow the sport are aware of the underhand activities in which he has been involved.
