In the fourth quarter, Campbell and teammate Eric O'Neill brought down Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson on a routine tackle. Campbell fell face down and lay motionless as medical staff rushed to his aid. He was strapped to a medical cart and transported to Henry Ford Hospital.

Player's update

In his first public comments since the incident, Campbell thanked fans, family, medical staff, and the Lions organization for their support. He said he is "incredibly encouraged by the progress" made in 72 hours, noting full lower body movement and continuing improvement in upper body movement.

Recovery outlook

Campbell expressed optimism, saying he is taking recovery one day at a time and drawing strength from his faith. He praised Detroit's toughness and resilience, vowing to approach his rehabilitation with the same grit he sees in the city.
