Kim Kardashian has revealed she feared her career was finished after critics panned her performance in the legal drama "All's Fair," though she noted the negative attention ultimately drove audiences to the show.
Speaking to the Press Association, Kardashian said she initially thought the backlash would ruin her and worried her co-stars would resent her for bringing a "whole wave of hate." However, the controversy helped the series become a number-one hit for weeks on Disney+.
Criticism Turns Into Viewership
The first season debuted on Disney+ last year and achieved strong viewership despite a 6 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Kardashian said she found it "so funny" that viewers tuned in to see how bad the show was, turning hate into high ratings.
Support From Co-Stars
Kardashian credited a supportive voicemail from co-star Sarah Paulson with restoring her confidence. Paulson later said she believed Kardashian brought a new level of confidence and humor to the role in the second season. The series also stars Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, and Niecy Nash-Betts.
Series Details and Release
Created by Ryan Murphy, "All's Fair" features Kardashian as divorce lawyer Allura Grant. The upcoming second season, arriving on Disney+ on March 4, includes a storyline where Grant admits she failed the bar exam on her first attempt—a nod to Kardashian's own experience with the California bar exam in July 2025. Kardashian said she embraced the joke, calling it "genius."
