Country music singer Nicole Taylor, one-third of the identical triplet group Taylor Red, has died at age 35 after a four-year battle with breast cancer. Her sisters and bandmates, Nika Taylor and Natalie Taylor, announced her passing Monday in a social media post.

Cancer diagnosis and final days

Taylor was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2022, a year after the trio's song "Country Money" went viral on social media. The disease later progressed to stage 4. According to the band's website, she died on Sept. 28 and a private funeral service was held. "Nicole told us soon before she passed that she had peace, and we are really thankful for that," Natalie Taylor said in a video shared with Nika Taylor.

Musical career

Originally from Mississippi, the identical triplets began performing together in 2010 under the name Red Roots before rebranding as Taylor Red in 2018 and relocating to Nashville, Tennessee. Their 2021 single "Country Money" garnered widespread attention online, establishing the group's popularity.
