Scotland head coach Sebastien Pocognoli has recalled Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and Che Adams for the final two Nations League Group B1 matches against North Macedonia at home and Switzerland away.
New Faces and Returns
Left-back James Penrice, 27, receives his first senior call-up after impressing on loan at Rangers from AEK Athens, while Blackburn Rovers midfielder Kristi Montgomery, 22, retains his place after being a late addition to the previous squad.
Injuries and Omissions
Scott McKenna and Kenny McLean miss out through injury, while Lennon Miller, Josh Doig, Colby Donovan and James Wilson have been dropped from the 28-player pool used for the first four fixtures.
Group Context
Scotland sit third in the group and need at least four points from the two games to keep alive their hopes of finishing second and reaching the promotion play-offs; a single point would secure safety from relegation. Switzerland lead with maximum points, three ahead of Slovenia.
Club Form
McTominay has scored four goals in seven appearances for Napoli since recovering from a minor heart procedure that sidelined him in September and October. Adams has netted twice in five Serie A matches for Torino following an adductor issue.
Robertson Milestone
Captain Andy Robertson will surpass Sir Kenny Dalglish’s record of 102 caps if the Tottenham full-back features in both matches on 13 and 16 November.
