The United States canceled a planned group photo of top G20 diplomats after European officials objected to standing alongside Russian representatives, according to Associated Press sources.
The decision came ahead of a scheduled meeting of G20 foreign ministers. European delegates reportedly refused to participate in the traditional "family photo" if Russian officials were included, prompting the US to scrap the photo opportunity altogether.
The incident underscores ongoing tensions between Western nations and Russia within the G20 framework. No official statement has been released by the US State Department or the G20 presidency.
