The UK government announced in its autumn Budget that the tax-free income allowance will increase by £2,000, a move expected to benefit online sellers on platforms such as Vinted and individuals with side hustles.
What the change means for sellers
The higher allowance will allow more earnings from casual sales and secondary income streams to remain untaxed, reducing the administrative burden for thousands of people who supplement their income through resale apps and freelance work.
