Former President Donald Trump opened a rally by commenting on another man's appearance and reviving a transphobic slur directed at the rival of Darline Graham, according to live updates from the event.
Trump's remarks focused on personal attacks rather than policy, and he notably avoided criticizing former President Barack Obama during the opening portion of his speech.
