Trump Addresses Epstein at Ohio Rally Amid Heckler Interruption

By Basant El-Faramawy

President Donald Trump brought up Jeffrey Epstein during a rally in Chillicothe, Ohio, on Wednesday night while campaigning for Republicans ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections. A heckler interrupted Trump's praise of Senator Jon Husted's physique, shouting about Epstein.

Heckler Interrupts Rally

Trump was gushing over Republican Senator Jon Husted's body when a heckler shouted about Epstein and Trump's alleged connections. The president responded directly to the interruption.

Trump's Epstein Remarks

"I threw Epstein out of a club like 20 years ago because I thought he was a wackjob," Trump told the crowd, drawing cheers. "That was a great thing I did; I must tell you." He added that he was "totally exonerated from him."

History of Trump-Epstein Connections

Trump had rarely discussed Epstein, a convicted sex offender who moved in similar social circles decades ago. Last year, his administration faced criticism over its handling of government files related to Epstein's federal sex trafficking case. A Wall Street Journal article in July 2025 revealed a 2003 birthday letter Trump reportedly wrote to Epstein reading, "May every day be another wonderful secret."

Recurring Focus on Husted's Physique

Trump's comments on Husted's body have become a pattern at recent rallies. At a Youngstown event earlier this month, Trump described examining Husted's rear, hands, and feet. Husted said he had been working out in anticipation of Trump's visits, telling an audience, "I don't want to let him down."

Ohio Senate Race Tight

The race between Republican Husted and Democratic incumbent Sherrod Brown remains neck-and-neck. A NetChoice/Echelon Insights poll shows them tied at 47 percent each, while Suffolk University and InsiderAdvantage polls give Brown a 3-point lead, 47 to 44 percent.
